Mistral Production is an independent production company for Television.
Created in 1995 by Yves Launoy (who collaborated with Guy Lux for over 10 years on the shows “Intercities”, “Intercities in the snow” and “Interland”) and by Olivier Charpentier, M.A. in Business from an Ecole Supérieure, director of exports at La Française des Jeux and then for World Cup France ’98.
In 1998, Mistral Production buys the worldwide exclusive rights to Intercities from Messrs. Guy Lux and Claude Savarit.

From that date forward, Mistral has exported “Intercities” throughout the world.
Many countries have welcomed this ultra-popular concept: China, which has produced 120 shows since 1998, Vietnam, Germany, The U.K., Morocco, Lebanon, South Africa, Belarus etc…
For two consecutive years, in 2007 and 2008, “Intercities” South Africa (Crazy Games) received the equivalent of the Bafta (UK) or Emmy Award (USA) for Best Game Show.
Since 2008, “Intercities” has been number 1 on CCTV1 in China, attracting more than 180 million viewers per broadcast, which makes it the most watched game show in the world!
Building on the success of “Intercities” abroad, Mistral Production has developed in parallel, since 2005, International platforms (“Intercities”) on which cities from 4 different countries compete against each other during 13-show series.
Today, “lntercities” is number 1 in places such as Russia and Kazakhstan.
Thanks to a team made up of a dozen collaborators with permanent contracts and dozens of part-time employees who are motivated and involved over long periods in the various projects, Mistral Production offers a responsiveness that is without equal in the audiovisual production sector.
Mistral is not only capable of moving 22 trucks each week from town to town during the summer shooting of “Intercities”, but also of setting up a production of “Intercities” abroad in a few weeks.
Since 2004, Mistral Production has also developed many events for companies based on the “Intercities” theme and has diversified by producing various TV magazines and documentaries.
