Everyone at the Flea Market (Tous à la brocante!) is the only French TV magazine devoted to the French people’s number one leisure activity, Flea Market and antique hunting. The travelling program is hosted by Julienne Bertaux, who welcomes each time a guest, a celebrity with a passion for flea market and who tells his/her hunts for antique goods, his/her collections and the furniture that had a strong influence on him/her during his/her childhood.
Flea markets and antique hunting have the advantage of offering several angles of approach and thus give the program its ability to feature several varied segments, making for a very rich show. A recurrent segment is present throughout the program, between the scenes taking place in the set and the exchanges between Julienne and her guest. The segment features an object to be valued, the valuation of Maître Ancelin, and finally at the end of the show the object is sold.
Everyone at the Flea Market also features reportages from everywhere in France: The pros’ segment introduces us to a new antique dealer or flea market dealer, each time in a different region. It’s an opportunity to learn about a specialty and to discover many interesting facts about an era or an object. The amateurs’ segment features antique hunters, secondhand amateurs and collectors whose houses are filled with thousand objects and thousand stories; and always unique decorations thanks to flea markets.
Finally, the unusual objects segment takes us across France to visit the flea markets in a hunt for quaint pieces, testimonies to past times, each with its unique stories. Everyone at the Flea Market is also a book published by Solar Editions.
